The weather is warming up quickly as summer approaches in Michigan, and we're excited to fire up the grill! What better way to kick off your first barbecue than with a uniquely seasoned steak?
This recipe features one of Mindo Chocolate's year-round best-sellers: miel de cacao. Its tangy, slightly sweet taste is reminiscent of balsamic vinaigrette or tamarind paste, but packs a punch of flavor all its own.
Recipe: Grilled Steak with Miel de Cacao
8 oz steak, preferred cut
2 tbsp Mindo Chocolate Miel de Cacao
1 tbsp olive oil (if marinating)
salt and pepper to taste
Optional: Combine all ingredients in airtight container or ziploc bag overnight to marinate.
Use the back of a spoon or a pastry brush to coat steak with miel de cacao. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Prepare steak as desired, and drizzle with additional miel de cacao for serving.
