The Himalayan Heartbreaker: 67% Dark Chocolate Filled with In-House Made Golden Caramel

Valentine's season is here, and it's the perfect time for us to talk about how much we love it!  

 

You may be familiar with our delicious Himalayan Heartbreaker, but you may not know what goes into making them.  As a bean-to-bar chocolate maker, we are directly involved in every step of the process in the creation of our chocolate, farm to product. If you've ever had a bon bon, chocolate confections, chocolate candies or other decorations, that likely came from a chocolatier! Chocolatiers typically make "chocolates" which are the fun things listed above and are made from chocolate, but the chocolate is typically made prior to being in the hands of the chocolatier. 

 

 

Because we're a chocolate maker and start directly at the beginning of the process, we don't often step into the realm of chocolatiering, but Valentine's Day and our Heartbreakers give us a chance to enjoy and appreciate both methods!  These hearts are one of the great love stories between chocolate and caramel. 67% Dark Chocolate shell filled with golden caramel, topped with pink Himalayan sea salt.
